Word of the day:
In Psalm 27, David has everything against him. He has every chance to live in failure and discouragement. He said the enemy was waiting to attack him, accusing him of things he had never done. People lie about him, mean and violent. It was as if he was overwhelmed by troubles and adversity. But just when you think he’s defeated, he says, “Nevertheless, I firmly believe that I will see the goodness of God.” He said, “All these negative things have worked against me, but the only thing I know for sure is that the Lord will deliver and justify me. I’m sure I’ll see his favour. He doesn’t deny that negative things are happening; he just wouldn’t let him in. He should have been filled with self-pity and despair, but instead, he knocked it down and was filled with hope. “I am confident,” he said. I am fully convinced that I will see the goodness of the Lord. Healing is coming. Breakthrough is coming. Victory is near. »
A prayer for today:
“Father, I thank you for being my rescuer and watcher when negative things work against me. Thank you for giving me absolute confidence that if I continue to move forward in faith, I will see Your goodness. I believe you will surprise me with your kindness. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
