Three Simple Words
Today’s Scripture:
No matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him, the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
(2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV)
Word of the day:
When God gives you a promise, He says “Yes,” says He will do it, but it is not enough. You have to add “Amen” to it, which means you say, “I believe it. God, I agree with you. When He says, “I will lead you to prosperity,” your answer should be three simple words:
“God, I believe.” When He promises, “I will open the gates of the waters of heaven and pour out blessings that you cannot contain,” do not say, “I do not see how that is possible. You don’t have to see how. Just agree and say, “Lord, I believe.” When He says, “I will restore the stolen years,” don’t believe what you see right now. Just add your amen:
“God, I believe.”
You can think of a thousand reasons why God’s promises won’t come true. I can give you a great reason why this would happen:
The Creator of the universe has declared it. He did not go back to his words.
A prayer for today:
“Father, thank You for Your promises with Your consent that You will. Thank you for being able to put my amen with your yes and make me agree with what you want to do in my life. I believe and declare that Your word is all I need to believe. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
