Three Simple Words
Today’s Scripture:
No matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him, the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
(2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV)
Quote of the day:
When God makes a promise to you, he says yes and says he will, but that is not enough. “I will make you prosperous.”
“Lord, I believe.” When he promised, “I will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that you cannot withhold,” he replied, “Do not see how this is possible.” Don’t say ‘hmm’. Just agree and say, “Lord, I believe.” When the Lord says, “I will restore the stolen years,” don’t fixate on what you see now. Just add amen:
“Lord, I believe.”
I can think of any number of reasons why God’s promises are not fulfilled. I can give one reason why it happens:
The Creator of the Universe explained it. he will not take back the word.
Prayer for today:
“Father, I thank you for your promises that came with your Jesus that you will do it. Combine my Amen with your Jesus to agree on what you want to do with my life. I believe and declare that your words are all I must believe. Amen, in the name of Jesus. “
