People Rub Off
Today’s Scripture:
Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.
(Proverbs 13:20, MSG)
Quote of the day:
Who are there people in your life? You spend your time and energy trying to put out other people’s fires, trying to make them happy, but you feel guilty when you don’t meet all their wants and needs ? This is exhausting you. You cannot achieve your destiny with people who keep dragging you down. Spending time with gossip, peace thieves, or negative people makes you like them. It’s time for a change. Set boundaries and spend less time with them.
You have to find someone who not only needs you but feeds you. In particular, your circle of closest friends shouldn’t be someone who is always in danger, noisy, or who wants you to be happy all the time. You should be smart, happy, responsible, and someone who will push you forward. Like iron whetstones, we make each other better. If you don’t remove the wrong people from your life, you will never meet the right people.
Prayer for today:
“Father, thank you to those who hone me, inspire me, and push me forward. Help me know which friendships I need to distance and which friendships and other relationships I need to develop.I want to be with the right people. Amen, in the name of Jesus. ”
