Join the Party

Today’s Scripture:
“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”
(Luke 15:31–32, NIV)

Quote of the day:

In Luke 15, when his father was throwing a party to celebrate the return of the prodigal son, the prodigal son’s brother was very angry and would not enter. he said. His brother has done so many bad things, how are you going to slaughter a fattened calf for him? I can hear his bitterness.

But that bitterness didn’t stop the party. It just kept him out of the party. He sometimes clings to forgiveness, anger, and resentment, thinking that if it only hurts him, it will hurt the other person. Are your bitterness and disappointment preventing you from enjoying your day? Why not let go and join the party? life happens. There are celebrations. Today is a gift. Don’t let bad childhood keep you from partying. Don’t let your divorce or heartbreak make you angry or let you sit on the sidelines of your life. come to the party

Prayer for today:

“Father, thank you for your gift today and for the celebration. Thank you for not having to stand by with forgiveness and bitterness over what happened. I declare that I will remove anything that prevents me from attending the party. In the name of Jesus, Amen. ”
