Greatness Out of Messes
Today’s Scripture:
God heard the boy crying…
(Genesis 21:17, NIV)
Quote of the day:
At the age of 16, Ishmael found himself abandoned in the desert. He was confused, rejected, and without water or food. He was born and raised in a troubled relationship between his mother and Abraham and Sarah. He paid the price for strife and division within his family that he was not responsible for and could not control by dealing with the consequences of bad decisions. God heard the cry of this dying young man sent from home. God not only saved him and his mother but also promised to make a great nation out of Ishmael.
God has shown us that he knows how to bring greatness out of great chaos. Your start may not have gone well. The odds were against you, but God is watching over you. He knows what you didn’t get. He knows someone who wasn’t in your life. He knows pain, betrayal, pain. call him He has plans to make your life more than you ever imagined.
Prayer for today:
“Father, thank you for taking care of me. Thank you for planning to make it more than I ever imagined…I still believe that great things can be done because you are my father. In the name of Jesus, Amen.”
