Choose Joy.

Did you decide to be happy this morning? It’s important to be aggressive when it comes to your happiness. If you don’t set the tone early in the day, your enemies will start reminding you of all your problems and all the bad things in your life. Note that the Bible doesn’t say, “If all goes well if you don’t get stuck in traffic, if your boss doesn’t yell at you, if it doesn’t rain on your new hairdo, you might be happy today.” No, the psalmist says: Happiness is a choice you make, not an emotion you feel. Always remember that even if you can’t choose the situation, you can always choose how you react to it. If you decide to live joyfully, if you choose to be happy in all circumstances, the enemy cannot hold you down and defeat you. God will give you supernatural powers to overcome any obstacles you face and you will live a life of overcoming the victories that God has in store for you.

God, I decided to be a thankful person today! You have blessed me abundantly, and I count those blessings every day. If I were to make a list of 10 each day, it would be in your honour. In the name of Jesus – Amen.
